Foncine Settlement Park Event

On Sunday April 3rd, through the help of several FRC Team 8816 members, we hosted an event at a local park, close to our workspace for students potentially interested in getting into robotics and STEM in general. Overall, we were astounded by the number of people that showed up to the event and the potential robotics has in the Frisco community!!!!! At the event we covered everything about the FRC process, showcased our robots functionalities, and even gave many young students the opportunity to test our incredible robot!!! As a result, many of the younger students showed their enthusiasm to become a part of FRC Team 8816/other robotics teams in the future and showed their interest in STEM careers at a young age. Along with this, our team is attempted to be involved in other ways with the community. To see more on how you can get involved in STEM, continue to scroll below.

Here’s how to get involved with robotics:

  1. Search for local robotics teams for students of your age!!! Regardless of level of experience, you will be able to build vital skills in the STEM field.

  2. Contact Us @coyotronics on instagram or at coyotronicsfrc.hhs@gmail.com. By reaching out to us we can let you know about any activities we are hosting in the future for younger students. As of the time of this post, Coyotronics is planning to host summer camps where younger students build with legos, so if you as a student are interested in learning about STEM, and potentially being involved in FLL(described in another post), please reach out!!!

  3. Have fun! Don't stress too much if something goes wrong, always ask questions, and above all keep learning. Speaking of learning, our next post will be about our robot itself so that you, as a community member, becomes better informed about mechanical/programming concepts that are a part of a FRC robot. Thank you!
